Position Overview

Kitchens & More is seeking an experienced cabinet designer / sales associate to join our growing business. The successful candidate will be involved in every aspect of our business from managing relationships with external partners, generating new business, guiding clients through all phases of the design/selection process, and ensuring the successful completion of our projects. Kitchens & More has been in business for over 15 years as the primary cabinet design firm for Yoder Homes & Remodeling, serving the mid-to-high end custom and luxury home market throughout greater Sarasota & Manatee County. Responsibilities

  • Manage and guide clients through the entire cabinet design process from the initial floor plan / blueprint to completion of their project.
  • Know and understand in extreme detail the cabinets we offer, in order to present the best solutions available to meet client's needs and budget.
  • Use cabinet design software to create cabinet / area renderings for client review.
  • Create proposals, contracts and design renderings.
  • Cultivate relationships with local trade partners, builders and design firms to promote advisory / value-add design approach. This position will not be expected to originate 100% of their own leads, but some outside sales activities and support is expected.
  • Mentor and assist junior design associates to help build skill set.
  • Place orders with our cabinet suppliers per the design specifications.
  • Conduct initial and follow up field measures to ensure cabinet design aligns with original design and take corrective action with contractors to resolve issues prior to installation.
  • Communicate project status to clients, trade partners and internal teammates in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications

  • Preferred candidate has 7+ years custom cabinetry design experience working with high-end / luxury home customers. CKBD Certification or Interior Design experience is a plus.
  • 3-years of experience with 2020 Design. SketchUp experience is a plus.
  • AutoCAD experience preferred but not necessary
  • Proven track record in sales and relationship building
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • General understanding of construction (framing, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong organizational, time management and scheduling skills
  • Valid drivers’ license with clean driving record and reliable vehicle.

Compensation

  • Compensation commensurate with experience, includes base salary plus commission. Total anticipated salary range is $75,000 - $150,000.
  • Relocation assistance is a discretionary option.
  • Paid-time off.
  • Expense reimbursement for job related travel / business expenses.
  • Full-time 8 to 5 in-office position with flexible schedule.
